Composite bonding improves the width, length, and shape of individual teeth to give a proportioned smile.

Composite bonding achieves a natural-looking tooth-to-tooth ratio, which makes a significant difference to how your smile looks amongst your facial features.

The benefits don’t stop there though: treatment can also improve the shade of discoloured teeth that are resistant to teeth whitening gels, and fill out chipped teeth.

Using composite, we can restore individual teeth, but it’s also possible to deliver a smile makeover. This is when composite is used on multiple teeth that are misshapen or chipped. When performing a smile makeover with composite, we will show you how the composite looks over the top of your teeth. Once you are happy with the design (which we’re sure you will be!), our dentists can go ahead, using their keen eye for artistry, and produce the natural-looking result you’re looking for.

Composite resin is effective at mimicking the appearance of real tooth enamel. As talented and experienced cosmetic dentists, we will be able to create a result that cannot be distinguished from genuine natural tooth enamel.

FAQs

Is Composite Bonding Better Than Porcelain Veneers?

We recommend composite bonding to patients seeking minimally-invasive and preservative treatment. Veneers on the other hand, are more involved, as tooth structure must be removed in order to adhere the porcelain firmly to your tooth. Veneers are generally a longer-lasting solution, and the use of porcelain to create them makes for a superior cosmetic outcome to composite bonding.

Can Composite Bonding Be Combined With Teeth Whitening?

Many of our patients combine composite bonding with teeth whitening. As composite resin does not react to whitening gel, teeth whitening will need to be carried out prior to composite bonding. Once the desired shade is achieved with the whitening process, the resins can be matched to the shade of your newly whitened teeth.

I’ve been coming to this practice for years and since trading under Meliora it has improved massively, especially with new equipment such as their impressive state of the art 3D mouth scanner.Dr Kunal and Dr Nimrata have been nothing short of professional, polite and welcoming. They make a wonderful team and always make time to see me.Dr Nimrata saved a tooth which had very little hope of success and after months of care I’m so pleased with the result. She has also given me extensive dietary and lifestyle advice which has completely changed the foods I choose and consume. Had a really positive experience with Meliora dental today! After having some complications with my wisdom tooth, I booked an emergency appointment. I saw Dr Kunal and Dr Namrata, with Caitlin assisting. They all made me feel so comfortable even though I was so nervous! Dr Kunal removed my wisdom tooth in maybe three minutes, and all three members of staff checked on me throughout my appointment and made sure I was doing okay. They explained the procedure thoroughly to me. Came here for a dental implant after losing a tooth in a car accident 10 years prior. The process involved using Invisalign as my teeth had moved and the gap where the implant was to be inserted had become too narrow. Also, due to the amount of time that had passed, there was not enough bone to place the implant, and I needed to have bone grafts. The first bone graft was unsuccessful, but thankfully the second one was a success, enabling me to go ahead with the implant. Though this added time to the expected treatment timeframe, Kunal explained every part of the process with me in detail, and gave care advice at each stage. He cared about how my smile would look, my appointments never felt rushed, and time and care was taken to ensure the implant would function and look like a natural tooth. Would definitely recommend.

The best experience of a dental practice/surgery I’ve ever had. The practice itself was clean, modern & welcoming. I was greeted by Hollie who was extremely welcoming and put me at ease. Had to have an emergency appointment as crown fell out, didn't realise the receptionist booked me in private practice so was hit with a bigger bill than expected. Very pleasant experience with the service though and would consider using them again.

Ellie is amazing and explained everything before we started and I am very satisfied with the treatment. She is amazing and she helped me a lot. We recommend you to come and go here. Practice clean and organized. Receptionist Candyce is good! She is amazing.

I attended this practice for an appointment to replace a filling. I was able to discuss the alternatives and choose my preferred treatment. The injections were painfree as was the rest of the procedure. Each step was explained to me and I felt relaxed and reassured. Afterwards I was able to ask questions and consider my future dental care. I thoroughly recommend this practice.

Fantastic and clean dental practice. I have changed dentists to follow Kunal and travel 45 minutes to see him as I feel he always takes care of me and is very honest and up front with any treatment needed. He really puts me at ease and prior to having Kunal as my dentist, I was always very nervous about even having a check up!

Great dental practice. Very impressed with the quality of the treatment given. I used to have my dental treatments abroad (complex procedures done) but now I found a reliable dental practice here. Hollie and Kunal are fantastic dentists. Kunal is very profesional, very updated with the latest treatments available. I feel I’m getting the best possible dental care. I've not long registered at this dental practice. I've had a phenomenal experience for my dental care. I've found the practitioners at the practice very professional, ordained, offering high standards of patient care. I was given an interpretation of my dental xray which helped me understand my oral health and for future reference with the valuable advice that I was given to take good care of me oral health. The team are commendable both professionally and they have a friendly manner making my experience comforting inpartular if you are apprehensive about dental care.
