Will My Dentures Look Like Real Teeth?

Our dentists have a neuromuscular approach to denture design. This means we focus on how muscles, the jaw, and the soft tissues in the face work together, and how your dentures will look in context.

Your denture shade can appear a natural shade of white, or we can opt for a brighter and more ‘Hollywood’ aesthetic if you wish.

How Will Dentures Change My Chewing Ability?

If you’ve lost even one or two teeth, your mouth’s biting forces fall out of sync, making it challenging to break down and eat tougher foods. Once your dentures are placed, these forces will be restored evenly across your mouth, which also reduces the chance of wear and tear on the remaining healthy teeth.

If you have old dentures that no longer fit well, replacing these with a newer set will improve your chewing function and reduce the chance of any embarrassing slipping and sliding teeth.

I’ve been coming to this practice for years and since trading under Meliora it has improved massively, especially with new equipment such as their impressive state of the art 3D mouth scanner.Dr Kunal and Dr Nimrata have been nothing short of professional, polite and welcoming. They make a wonderful team and always make time to see me.Dr Nimrata saved a tooth which had very little hope of success and after months of care I’m so pleased with the result. She has also given me extensive dietary and lifestyle advice which has completely changed the foods I choose and consume. She’s not only helped improve my gum health, but my overall wellbeing too.Dr Kunal then fitted the crown after the root canal that Dr Nimrata saved and the end result was amazing. I recently had a root canal treatment and crown fitted on a rear tooth by Dr Nam, and I cannot praise her enough for her professionalism and care throughout the process. Everything was explained clearly, I was made to feel completely at ease, and most importantly the procedure was carried out with no pain at all. Had a really positive experience with Meliora dental today! After having some complications with my wisdom tooth, I booked an emergency appointment. I saw Dr Kunal and Dr Namrata, with Caitlin assisting. They all made me feel so comfortable even though I was so nervous! Dr Kunal removed my wisdom tooth in maybe three minutes, and all three members of staff checked on me throughout my appointment and made sure I was doing okay. They explained the procedure thoroughly to me. Would absolute recommend this practice, and thank you so much again to the whole team for providing such an inviting experience even when I was terrified. ❤️

From arriving with incisors chipped and disappearing, I now have PERFECT incisors, matching shade-wise my other teeth. I had composite bonding on all four. It took about 2 1/2 hours. Absolutely no complaints. Plenty of time to meditate and recollect memories. GO FOR IT!

Kunal and Namrata have worked miracles on my teeth. I can’t believe how invisible, comfortable, and how speedy the treatment was. Have a look on the website for the wonkiest teeth you can find. They will almost certainly be mine, and you will see the final results below them. It took about 8 months to straighten my teeth and it would have been quicker if I’d listened to Kunal instead of trusting the useless app that came from the manufacturer of the aligners. Last 2 times I have visited the dental practice with Dr Kunal Rai and my experience has been great. Came here for a dental implant after losing a tooth in a car accident 10 years prior. The process involved using Invisalign as my teeth had moved and the gap where the implant was to be inserted had become too narrow. Also, due to the amount of time that had passed, there was not enough bone to place the implant, and I needed to have bone grafts. The first bone graft was unsuccessful, but thankfully the second one was a success, enabling me to go ahead with the implant. Though this added time to the expected treatment timeframe, Kunal explained every part of the process with me in detail, and gave care advice at each stage. He cared about how my smile would look, my appointments never felt rushed, and time and care was taken to ensure the implant would function and look like a natural tooth. Would definitely recommend.

The best experience of a dental practice/surgery I’ve ever had. The practice itself was clean, modern & welcoming. I was greeted by Hollie who was extremely welcoming and put me at ease. I have a lot of anxiety going to the dentists & was talked through every step. Kayleigh did my X-ray and made conversation with me which calmed me down straight away. Had my appointment today with the dental hygienist Ellie and she did a phenomenal job! She took a good 45 mins to clean my teeth and removed all the stains and plaque build up. I attended this practice for an appointment to replace a filling. I was able to discuss the alternatives and choose my preferred treatment. The injections were painfree as was the rest of the procedure. Each step was explained to me and I felt relaxed and reassured. Afterwards I was able to ask questions and consider my future dental care. I thoroughly recommend this practice.

Fantastic and clean dental practice. I have changed dentists to follow Kunal and travel 45 minutes to see him as I feel he always takes care of me and is very honest and up front with any treatment needed. He really puts me at ease and prior to having Kunal as my dentist, I was always very nervous about even having a check up!

Great dental practice. Very impressed with the quality of the treatment given. I used to have my dental treatments abroad (complex procedures done) but now I found a reliable dental practice here. Hollie and Kunal are fantastic dentists. Kunal is very profesional, very updated with the latest treatments available. I feel I’m getting the best possible dental care. I've not long registered at this dental practice. I've had a phenomenal experience for my dental care. I've found the practitioners at the practice very professional, ordained, offering high standards of patient care. I was given an interpretation of my dental xray which helped me understand my oral health and for future reference with the valuable advice that I was given to take good care of me oral health. The team are commendable both professionally and they have a friendly manner making my experience comforting inpartular if you are apprehensive about dental care.
